Hi! 

Welcome to My Ferri Tale! My name is Anjuli and I’m so excited to share with you my journey towards health and wellness! 

I started a gluten free diet since roughly 2007 (way before it was trending!) and I have been vegan for almost 2 years now. Currently, I am following an Ayurvedic lifestyle/diet. 

My motivation for incorporating these changes into my diet was necessity; my iron deficiency has always been the primary reason for adapting my diet.  Hence, this is my ferri tale, or my iron tale! 

At the age of 18, I found out that I was very anaemic; my hemoglobin was at a level of 60 and my Ferritin was below 5.  Over time, I found out that gluten prevented my body from absorbing iron and vitamin b12.

Since that time in my life, I’ve consistently worked to adapt my diet and lifestyle so that my body could naturally elevate my levels of iron.  Changing my diet became necessary for my health.  This strong motivation is the reason why I’m always on the lookout for new vegan/gluten-free recipes/products and my wish is to share it with all of you! 

I feel obligated to mention that I’m not a certified healthcare practitioner nor a nutritionist. These recipes and recommendations are simply from my own personal experience. Please consult your physician prior to starting any new diet or taking any natural supplements.
